Pedro's Cocina Mexicana

Cute little place. Staff was friendly and food arrived very quickly. The food was excellent. Provides takeout, although we did not utilize that.

We got going early on this Sunday and found that “open” options were few. Thank goodness, otherwise we may not have tried Pedro’s Cocina. The food is fresh and the home made salsas have incredible flavor. Get the green salads - it has some kick, but it also has smoky undertones that are amazing. My husband got the classic burrito with Tinga chicken and I got the chicken chimichanga - both were served quickly and hot. This is a counter style restaurant rather than and sit and serve but, we were checked on multiple times to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Try it, you’ll love it!

One of the best authentic food that I've ever had! Their signature salsa is one of my favorites. The soup is delicious and the meat for the tacos is very tender and flavorful. I'd definitely go there again!

What a great surprise! We had homemade quacamole... best we've had by far! Our chicken fajita nachos were incredible and the portion was more than 2 of us could eat. Looking forward to our leftovers! Service and price were amazing as well.

Delicious food and great service. Smell good right as you walk in. Feels more authentic and we enjoyed the entire experience. Would recommend to go during slower times if not just do pick up!

Driving from Florida back to Illinois, saw this place on Google maps and wanted to give it a try. The place was very clean and I liked the atmosphere. The staff where attentive and friendly. The food was really good and fresh. I appreciated that you could doctor your food to your tastes. My son likes more plain things and my husband is the opposite, they both enjoyed their meals. The nachos where the favorite and devoured very quickly.

Food and service were all fantastic! Some of the best service that I've experienced in recent months. The food was great as well. Almost a hidden gem!

Delicious! Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. We ordered the chicken bowl, quesabirria tacos, and milanesa. Everything was very good and fresh. My favorite part was their variety of homemade salsas. The jalapeño (green one) was my favorite. Honestly, comjgn from Chicago where there is amazing Mexican food, I wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised. We will defend be back!
